Dr. Parth Sharma

Dr Parth Sharma is Associate Professor in School of Law at University of Petroleum and Energy Studies. He holds a doctorate degree in India-China relations from Aligarh Muslim University. He had published research papers in international and national journals of high repute. He is a gold medallist and has qualified UGC (JRF-NET) in Political Science. He also had participated in various workshops and conferences organized by U.G.C, British high commission, and premier think tanks like Centre for Policy Research New Delhi. His area of interest includes International Politics, Strategic Affairs, Political Theory, Media Studies, Politics of Development, Issues concerning Higher Education. etc.

Before joining UPES, Dr. Parth worked at Glocal Law School, Saharanpur where he undertook range of teaching, administrative and research responsibilities. At UPES also, he is also managing Examination work. He also is heading various committees like Parliamentary Debate Committee, Youth Parliament etc.

His area of interest includes International Politics, Strategic Affairs, Political Theory, Media Studies, Politics of Development, Issues concerning Higher Education. etc.

Prof. Parth teaching pedagogy believes in active student engagement in classroom. He uses innovative teaching pedagogy which includes Book reviews, Movie reviews, Poster Presentations etc

Prof. Parth teaches Political Theory, Comparative Politics, International Politics, Sociology.

Dr Parth had been consistently rated high by the students in university feedback system. Dr Parth was awarded university Gold Medal for standing first in Graduation. He received UGC Junior Research Fellowship during his research.

Dr Parth in his thesis has explored China’s Rise and its implications on South Asian Security in general and India in particular. Dr Parth Sharma has published papers in Scopus indexed journals and newspapers of national and international repute.
