The university’s international collaborations for Global Pathway Program, semester exchange, semester abroad, and virtual programs are designed to unlock students’ potential and foster a globally inclusive academic community. These initiatives prioritise cross-cultural learning and meaningful global engagement, empowering students, faculty, and staff through international experiences, collaborations, and partnerships.
At UPES, we believe that every student and faculty member should have the opportunity to gain international exposure. We achieve this through student mobility programs, hosting international faculty and thought leaders at UPES campus, facilitating online collaborations between students across institutions and universities, promoting joint research, expanding institutional partnerships through MoUs, and actively participating in international academic events.
The Department of International Affairs (DIA) facilitates inbound and outbound student mobility at UPES. International exposure enhances personal growth, helping students develop the confidence and adaptability needed to navigate diverse challenges. At the UPES Global Mobility Desk, students receive world-class support for their global journeys. Living and learning in a new culture fosters resilience, broadens perspectives, and equips students with essential global competencies.
UPES has partnered with over 70 top-ranking universities worldwide and maintains 8 active associations with international bodies, offering exceptional exchange opportunities that enrich students’ academic and professional journeys.

UPES Global Pathway Program is a step towards giving exceptional international experience to students. Under the Global Pathway Program, students have the option to complete a certain portion of the course at UPES, and the balance at our academic partner universities (in the UK, Germany, Australia, Canada and the US) subject to completing the eligibility criterion of the partner universities.
Upon successful completion of the program at the partner university and meeting all academic requirements, students are awarded a degree from the international partner university, along with a diploma/certificate from UPES, as per the UGC guidelines.

The Semester Abroad Program at UPES offers students the opportunity to study at an international university for a semester, experiencing a new academic environment, culture, and education system while progressing toward their degree.
UPES has partnered with UC Berkeley to enhance international exposure and study-aborad programs, allowing students to study there for a semester. Semester abroad opportunities are also available at University of Gothenburg, University of Warsaw, University of Bologna, UTP Malaysia, HSE St. Petersburg, and many more globally.

UPES offers students and faculty enriching exchange programs with prestigious international universities, fostering global learning and collaboration. Student exchange opportunities are available twice a year with partner institutions, while faculty exchange takes place through exclusive invitations, enabling knowledge sharing and academic growth on a global scale.

At UPES, we believe true learning transcends borders. In today’s globalised world, international exposure is essential. Our Global Immersion Programs offer students transformative experiences that expand perspectives, sharpen skills, and prepare them for global opportunities.
Designed to complement diverse academic disciplines, these programs connect students with top global universities and learning environments. Participants engage with international peers, visit leading companies, and immerse themselves in different cultures.
Beyond academics, students gain global networks, recognised certifications, and the confidence to lead with purpose and awareness in a connected world.

UPES is establishing itself as a global hub for research and innovation, driven by international collaboration. Our growing partnerships with top universities, research institutes, and global faculty support impactful, solution-driven research.
Faculty and students engage in interdisciplinary projects across critical areas like sustainability, AI, clean mobility, climate policy, cybersecurity, public health, and digital transformation. These initiatives ensure UPES research stays relevant, globally connected, and future-focused.
Through joint publications, international conferences, funded projects, and PhD co-supervision, our academic community gains access to global expertise and cutting-edge methodologies.
