Sonam Saluja

Mrs. Sonam Saluja is an academic professional currently pursuing Ph.D. in CSE from the National Institute of Technology, Agartala. Her research is centered on glioma classification and grading through advanced deep learning architecture. Passionate about the intersection of artificial intelligence and healthcare, she is dedicated to translating computational advancements into practical solutions for brain tumor diagnosis and medical imaging.

Mrs. Sonam Saluja has recently joined the School of Computer Science at UPES as an Assistant Professor. Previously, she served as a Senior Research Fellow at the National Institute of Technology, Agartala, where she contributed to advanced research in deep learning and medical imaging. Additionally, she gained industry experience as a Research Analyst at TechStar IT Solutions, Pune, where she worked on data-driven solutions.

Mrs. Sonam Saluja's research focuses on advancing medical image processing, with a particular emphasis on tumor segmentation and classification using AI-driven techniques. Her work aims to develop efficient and scalable algorithms for medical diagnostics, enhancing the integration of AI in healthcare. She is also interested in large-scale data analysis and interdisciplinary collaborations, exploring innovative approaches to computational healthcare. In future, she seeks to expand her research into deep learning-driven predictive analytics, personalized healthcare solutions, and real-time medical imaging enhancements, fostering innovation at the intersection of AI and medicine. 

Mrs. Sonam Saluja believes that education should inspire critical thinking and practical problem-solving. She integrates real-world datasets and computational tools like Python and MATLAB into her teaching to create a hands-on learning environment. Her goal is to empower students with the technical skills and ethical grounding necessary to address modern challenges in computer science and healthcare.

Mrs. Sonam Saluja teaches a variety of courses, including:

• Software Engineering: Principles of software development, including software design, testing, and maintenance, with a focus on industry best practices and tools like Git, Jira, and Agile methodologies.
• Operating Systems: Core concepts such as process management, memory management, file systems, and synchronization, with hands-on experience using Linux and Windows environments.
• Machine Learning: Foundations of supervised and unsupervised learning, neural networks, and real-world projects leveraging Python (scikit-learn, TensorFlow). 

• Published impactful research on glioma grading and medical imaging in reputed journals. 
• Secured a patent for glioma-grade prediction systems contributing to applied computational healthcare research. 
• Presented findings at international conferences such as IEEE Explore, focusing on advanced methods for brain tumor segmentation and classification. 
• Served as a peer reviewer for scientific journals, ensuring quality in research publications. 
• Led workshops on Python programming, engaging academic and industry participants.
