About Energy Cluster 

The Energy Cluster, under the School of Advanced Engineering (SOAE) at UPES, is a leader in education and research in the energy sector. It has completed funded research projects worth over Rs 18 crores, and has five ongoing funded research projects worth Rs. 1.5 crores. It published hundreds of highly cited research articles in leading international journals. It offers NBA accredited undergraduate programs, B.Tech Applied Petroleum Engineering, and B.Tech Chemical Engineering, besides B.Sc Geology, postgraduate programs  M.Tech Petroleum Engineering, M.Tech Chemical Engineering, M.Tech Renewable Energy, and M.Sc Petroleum Geoscience, besides Ph.D in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Geoscience.

The curriculum of the programs is industry focused and designed by experts from both academia and industry. It is committed to providing students with in-depth knowledge and skills to excel and make a difference in the energy sector globally. Our graduates are recruited by industry leaders such as Exxon Mobil, Reliance, Halliburton and admitted into Ph.D programs in leading universities of US, Canada and Europe.
 

About the Energy Summit 2025

Energy Summit is an annual mega flagship event organized by the School of Advanced Engineering, UPES, since 2022. It brings together the leading energy experts, researchers, and policymakers to address the challenges and solutions associated with energy and offer a platform for them to collaborate by harnessing their strengths. As artificial intelligence is fast expanding into every domain which is energy-intensive and expected to push the energy demand, thus necessitating the augmentation and diversification of the energy sources to bring down their cost to achieve long-term energy security and sustainability. Hence, the theme of the Energy Summit 2025 is “Sustainable and affordable energy”. Under the aegis of Energy Summit 2025, the International Conference on Sustainable and Affordable Energy (ICSAE 2025), focusing on innovative technologies, strategies, and policies on the entire energy spectrum of generation, storage, transportation, and utilization is being organised by the School of Advanced Engineering, UPES during 11-12 November 2025, in hybrid mode.

The accepted abstracts after peer review will be published in the abstract book of the conference. The authors, after presenting their accepted papers at the conference, will submit the full paper in the prescribed format of the journal/Conference proceedings/Book series of their choice from the list of conference publication partners for consideration and publication.
